Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Events this Month

Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot on 20th June 2021, 20th June 2021, 6:30 to 12:45 at Stonham Car Boot, Pettaugh Rod, Stonham Aspal (16.3 miles)

Another good Sunday with 166 sellers last weekend and more great weather expected this Sunday so another good crowd expected and lots of sellers and buyers. Hoping for slightly cooler weather this Sunday.

Events coming up at Stonham Barns include History Alive on the 27th June and VW Beetle-Juiced Festival on 11th July. All of these add extra crowd to the car boot.

Covered Stalls are available for every Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday but these do go very quickly as there are only 20. These can be pre-booked on 07817539168 (text to pre-book). These offer some shade to sellers as well as a tabletop. These go really fast so text to reserve any Sunday. Everyone else wishing to sell at Stonham can just turn up on the day from 6.30am until 9am. Most people arrive at 8.

The only bad news is that following additional costs at the Car Boot we have had to increase the pitch prices minimally from £5 to £6 for cars, Cars with trailers £8.50, Small Vans £8.50 and large vans £12. Covered stalls will now be £12. I hope this is ok with everyone?
Once again you do not need to book to sell at Stonham Barns Sunday Car Boot you just turn up. You don't have to arrive at 6.30am as many don't turn up until 8/9am that's just the time we open. I really would prefer it if everyone turned up from 7am onwards as the Car Boot doesn’t liven up until after 8 and we have enough space for everyone.

Again, a big thanks to the majority who are following the distancing and one-way routes and abiding by our strict no harassment policy which is why Stonham Barns Car Boot is always such a friendly place to sell and buy at. Back again on Sunday 20th June 2021 & every Sunday until further notice.

Thanks to everyone last year who followed all that I asked. For your safety I suggest that sellers bring gloves, sanitiser & possibly masks if they choose to. These are for your own peace of mind and obviously because you are handling cash. You still need to decide whether you allow buyers to pick up items or not and please clean items if you allow them to. These are suggestions only – you need to decide how you can sell and feel comfortable and safe.

Sellers will be allowed to enter the field from 6.30am onwards. NO ONE WILL BE LET IN UNTIL 6.30 SO DON’T ARRIVE BEFORE THEN AS YOU CAUSE TRAFFIC JAMS. Buyers will be allowed at the same time but – please allow me to get everyone into position so you don’t hinder this, thanks and please don’t stand behind cars whilst they unload. No one is going to jump in and buy before you as it just isn’t that kind of car boot. Anyone pestering sellers will be advised to leave because we are renowned as being a friendly car boot. If anyone oversteps their mark we will stop buyers entering the field until gone 7am.

There will be a one-way viewing system which needs to be followed. I will place Way in and No Entry signs down each aisle. BUYERS – PLEASE FOLLOW THESE as they are very important for everyone’s enjoyment & safety.

We are outdoors only but offer covered stalls. We try to open every week irrespective of the weather as we still get buyers and sellers.
